OUR STORY

Crew & Co was founded not from theory, but from lived experience within the superyacht industry. Having worked onboard myself, I understand how much of a difference the right crew dynamic makes — where individuals are aligned in their goals, support one another, and contribute to a positive, well-balanced environment onboard.

While recruitment can be learned, a true understanding of the industry cannot be replicated. My experience brings a perspective to recruitment that goes beyond what is seen on paper. Life onboard comes with sacrifice, high expectations, and real responsibility — and understanding those realities allows me to recognise the qualities that truly make someone succeed.

I approach recruitment with that perspective in mind. My role is not simply to introduce candidates, I identify candidates far beyond the CV, prioritising well-considered matches that are in the best interest of both the candidate and the client, with longevity always in mind.

I work closely with Captains, Management Companies, HOD’s and yacht owners to understand how each programme operates, while equally taking the time to understand the ambitions and personalities of the crew I work with. This balanced approach allows me to make introductions with confidence — presenting opportunities that support a candidate’s progression while strengthening the programme they join.

India’s journey into yachting began with a simple but defining ambition — to see more of the world and build a life beyond the expected. Like many drawn to this industry, she was motivated by travel, experience and the opportunity to build a life far beyond the ordinary.

Over the years, India has worked onboard a variety of superyachts across different programmes and regions, gaining first-hand insight into the realities of life at sea. From the fast pace of charter seasons to the precision required on private worldwide programmes, each vessel, each operation and each crew dynamic has shaped her understanding of what exceptional and successful crew look like. Those experiences did more than build a career — they shaped perspective, understanding and character. Working in the centre of this industry has given a genuine appreciation for the professionalism, teamwork and resilience that sit behind the scenes of every boat.

Today, India carries that experience into the next chapter of her career through Crew & Co. Drawing on both her time onboard and her previous recruitment experience, she brings a practical understanding of the industry to every placement — focusing on connecting the right people with the right boats.
